Spain, 1966. Laia studies law at the University of Barcelona. She works part-time in the university library to pay for her tuition. In her spare time, Laia writes songs. She begins dating Ignasi, a college student committed to the clandestine struggle against Francisco Franco's regime. The relationship is shattered by Ignasi's best friend David, a shallow boy from a wealthy family. But David is not who he appears to be.
