Cecilia, nicknamed Sissy, is a successful social media influencer. She finds herself in a dream until she runs into her former best friend Emma again. Their close friendship was then ended by the bully Alex. Now Emma invites Cecilia to a bachelorette weekend in the mountains. There, Sissy again comes into contact with Alex. High time for revenge.

New Shudder.
Another original from this platform that just doesn't catch on. I do not know what it is. Either they fund in the wrong sources, or they never know what they're getting into. In any case, I have to say that almost all current horror films from this platform just don't really make an impression.
The USP of this film comes in the form of Dee. A killer with an unstable and deceiving personality, who for a very long time makes us believe that she is the final girl . The tide soon turns and we start with a different path, but that same path doesn't get much further than the occasional frown. The kills themselves may also be quite original and special, but never graphic or impressive. Only in the final do the first real effects cautiously come into view.
Once the film turns to more gruesome sides, it catches on, but directors Barlow and Senes are too small a factor to support the film. Visually too flat and useless in terms of tension. The advantage is that because of all those bizarre things it still manages to look away nicely and once the horror hits there is a decent flow, but with that most of the compliments are given away. Slightly better, but nothing special.

Sissy
Okay okay, not a bad drama horror about a girl Cecillia (Sissy) who, after many years, runs into her old friend Emma again. Sissy and Emma used to be best friends until bully Alex ruined everything between them. After the girls reunite, Emma invites her to a remote mountain home to celebrate Emma's bachelorette weekend with her girlfriend and friends. Unfortunately Alex is there too and not much has changed.
The kills were sometimes quite nasty and pretty well portrayed. Especially that of her best friend Emma. Aisha Dee played her part very convincingly and really came across as a unstable girl with a personality disorder where you don't know if she's going to be nice or evil again.
Won't be watching it again anytime soon, but for once it was fine.
