One day, in his fifties, Antoine, a history teacher, notices that he is gradually losing his hearing. As he is very ashamed of his disability, he begins to isolate himself more and more from public life. One day, however, he meets his neighbor Claire, whose daughter refuses to speak after losing her father in a car accident. Will Antoine be able to find joy in life again through this encounter?
