And I also saw good things today.

A Plein Temps is a film that is even more relevant in a year with considerable inflation than a year ago when the film premiered in Venice. Julie (and awesome Laure Calamy) is a single mother who is constantly trying to keep all the balls up. She has two children (and certainly the youngest cannot be alone for a moment. She lives in a suburban village near Paris. Her children go to the babysitter when she has to work. She works in a luxury hotel and lives in an owner-occupied house and although the hotel job is not something she studied for, she has a decent income, but she just falls short and wants a better job, but then a strike breaks out that shatters all the carefully constructed rhythms and carefully constructed puzzles.

Very relevant because the film credibly shows even people who seem independent turn out to be dependent on everything and everyone. Helped by a nervous soundtrack when Julie has to run or is under pressure and rests when she is rested.

A strong film about responsibility and dependence with a happy ending, or does the hassle in that heavy job start all over again? {/spoiler]

An intense drama about a divorced young mother of two who runs from place to place day after day in a frantic attempt to keep her life together. In her struggle for daily existence, she has to deal with problems to reach her job because of a strike, an unwilling babysitter, an uncomprehending boss, an ex with arrears in paying alimony, etc.
Laure Calamy stars in this hectic film that would leave you vicariously overwrought as a viewer. Fans of the social dramas of Ken Loach or the Dardenne brothers should not miss this film.

On paper, À plein temps is a social drama about the maelstrom of working-class life in Paris. Fortunately, those who expect a dime a dozen film in that case will be disappointed: the undulating soundtrack and the penetrating editing make the everyday story look like a ticking time bomb.
