A movie really doesn't have to have an in-depth story to entertain. Cliché one-liners and good action are sometimes sufficient. For example, I like to watch some Steven Seagal movies.

This movie was none of that. Took way too seriously, messy choppy editing, zero tension, and the number of action scenes could be counted on one hand.

The previous films with Liam Neeson were still somewhat entertaining, but with this one I had had it after an hour. After the brilliant Taken, that level has actually never been reached again, and it keeps decreasing.

A film via DFW, so the famous duo was back with all kinds of space errors and exclamation marks, although I've (luckily? unfortunately?) seen worse. "Out of the way!" became "Go away!". Poor children...

2.5/10

I don't understand the negative reviews/low rating.

This is just a nice Liam Neeson with a great story..

Moderate thriller. The story is weak and fairly predictable. The effect can just go on. The pace is good and the film never gets boring. But it really isn't anything special. It's all pretty standard. A little suspense and some action, that's all. Everything looks fine and professional. That is also the reason that the film is just too good. The acting is also okay. Neeson does things like this on autopilot. Nothing special. 3.0
