Amityville Scarecrow plot

Two sisters are confronted with the death of their mother. Then they become the owners of an abandoned and closed summer camp. The sisters discover that the summer camp has dark secrets and strange things have happened. They also hear a story about a demonic scarecrow.

I have always found scarecrows to be a special phenomenon and in the past I was positively surprised by this concept within cheap horror. So there was good hope for Amityville Scarecrow, but of course in retrospect I should have known better. The majority consists of three poorly acting and uninteresting ladies who are chased by an equally uninteresting threat. Almost everything about this film looks boring, from the bare location choices to the complete lack of an impressive atmosphere. It is that director Jack Peter Mundy tries something out with computer effects and music in between, otherwise it would not have been possible at all.
