Very nice.

Glasshouse was a surprise, but when I saw the first pictures of it I already knew that the film was probably going to be at least a 3.0*. A film like this can go a long way with a nice style, and visually this film looks great. Also nice that it doesn't hold back too much or let it go.

This movie is very straightforward. You have the concept, you have the characters and you have the story. Those are most of the ingredients the film works with. No nonsensical dream sequences or vague side paths, just a movie that sticks to the story and I like that. So you finally have a film that doesn't make things unnecessarily difficult, and that sometimes works quite refreshing.

Still, the concept can be called quite original, but Glasshouse has the advantage that a lot of other elements also work well. The acting is good, especially the sisters play amazingly. The story captivates and surprises, and the film never gets boring. The pace is just right, so that the film manages to lead you through the running time and course in a nice flow.

What is most successful, however, is the visual aspect of the film. Very nice cinematography, enhanced with great lighting. Patiently recorded, despite the fact that the editing is still a bit messy. The story is not entirely without holes. Fortunately, that is separate from the visual, because this film always remains a feast for the eyes, and with a budget that was probably not very high, that is always enjoyable.

Once the movie comes out I can't wait to see what the audience thinks. I thought it was a very amusing and sometimes downright original movie. An apocalyptic film that looks very clean for a change, and is not the withered and burnt world we are usually used to. Nice surprise, nice to have seen this one already.
