Finch, a robotics engineer, is one of the few to survive a global disaster. His most prized possession is his dog Goodyear, for which he will die. Now that the world is in ruins and foodstuffs are gradually becoming a rare commodity, he knows he won't live long. To make sure Goodyear ends up in good hands, he builds a robot to watch over him.

grandma had a potato war and a noodle bite. I have a small fries special with a coarse frikandel.
While nibbling on our snacks, we saw the film in one go. grandma I saw a tear from the corner of my eye when that little robot was suddenly peeled by that life-size bear trap (which actually didn't belong in this movie) and the 2nd x when Tom died Al Overall a nice movie to watch but could have been more.

Nice and calm movie in a post-acolyptic setting with Tom Hanks. The film isn't really exciting, but it doesn't have to be. The film does get a bit dramatic towards the end, including dramatic music, which I found a little less. Nevertheless, a very entertaining film.

Nice film about one of the survivors of an ecological disaster who manages to make a robot. This post-apocalyptic road movie has a thin story, and clearly falls into the category: all seen before. Still, the whole thing looks easy. It all looks good and the interaction between Tom Hanks and the robot and also the dog is entertaining. A narrow 3.0 stars.
