"You know the drill!"
A group of school friends get together for a cozy slumber party. Meanwhile, a psychotic serial killer manages to escape. Armed with a jackhammer, he heads for the slumber party, after which it turns into a bloody nightmare. The friends must pull out all the stops to stay alive.

Billed as a remake of the eponymous 1982 exploitation horror film, the fact that we already discover the identity of the killer in the prologue is a harbinger of what is to come. Suzanne Keilly's screenplay initially seems to follow a long-worn formula, but then the surprises follow in this entertaining horror film that sometimes pokes a bit too emphatically at genre clichés but doesn't go off the rails under Esterhazy's direction.

Entertaining as a slasher. Beautiful girls but we only get to see a naked male body. Those female directors, that was a bit too much. Why so prudish these days? The kills, although sometimes a bit soft, were okay. It looks reasonably slick but also nowhere really unique. The film never bores.
