Anaïs [Anaïs Demoustier] is a cheerfully fluttering and (literally) hurried 30-year-old woman who, not long after she tells her ex-boyfriend that she has had an abortion, meets the much older Daniel [Denis Padalydès] meet. Their affair becomes complex when Anaïs discovers that Daniel is dating 56-year-old author Emilie Ducret [Valeria Bruni Tedeschi]. When Anaïs happens to meet Emilie on the street and decides to speak to her, she seems to be throwing herself into the spotlight. Demoustier is excellent in the leading role, undoubtedly helped by Charlotte Richard's carefully selected clothing designs, but the screenplay lacks logic or credibility and takes an unexpected, not entirely successful, serious turn in the last quarter.

Anaïs Demoustier walks around with a broad smile on her face for almost the entire film. That is infectious and is responsible for the fact that you almost automatically have a good feeling about this film. Very French, very nice too.

Special film. And also interesting. But also really beautiful? At first the main character irritates. But slowly you get some sympathy for Anaïs. And eventually the film also becomes a lot more fun when it gets a slightly more serious tone. I liked that more serious tone, because it gave some direction to the until then totally unreal life of Anaïs. And eventually the whole film also creates question marks. Beautiful is the soundtrack that supports very well and beautifully. Furthermore a number of very beautiful scenes and a beautifully shot mildly erotic scene.

All in all, it is rather incoherent, just like the life of the main character Anaïs.
