Hansel and Gretel plot
A poor toy maker has two children: son Hans and daughter Gretel. However, his new wife openly despises her stepchildren and things don't get better when one night at dinner Hansel and Gretel decide to tease their stepmother. The stepmother gets so tired of their games that she tries to beat up her stepchildren, but their father stops her and has them send them to their attic bedroom. The stepmother, however, still wants revenge.
