So....some low scores here yes, we are all tired of it and it has a sentimental atmosphere, but it is also a romantic story with a current touch that is combined with some imaginative doomsday scenarios. Of course you can take the film on pain points, but it doesn't seem very far fetched if you go along with those doomsday scenarios. Who would have thought in the beginning that the covid pandemic would last so long? In any case, the story is brought quite exciting and the nasty atmosphere is certainly present. I don't think it's far fetched that the rich or egoists can take advantage of this either. Their schemes and abuse of power could just be done. Peter Stormare as a former garbage man who seems to be immune to this virus is great as a pure egoist who knows how to abuse all power. Demi Moore (Piper) and Bradley Whitford (William) are well cast as the wealthy couple with dual agendas. The two main characters KJ Apa and Sofia Carson also convince as a couple in love. And Alexandra Daddario as May also manages to turn heads, especially the remarkable sexy covid dance scene with the wealthy William. Demi Moore is getting old too. For me a successful video that manages to entertain enough despite the ever tiring thought about covid. It is no longer science fiction because who would have thought that our society would seem so fragile. 7/10

Oh dear.

Extremely inconvenient to release a film like this in the middle of the Corona lockdown. It will of course be with a purpose, but to be reminded of these kinds of futures in the middle of the fear, madness and madness is of course not pleasant. I watched Songbird well after the lockdown, although it might not have made much difference.

In almost every respect a shockingly bad film with very mediocre acting. Director Mason drags in all kinds of names who don't know what to do with the roles. The decoration and elaboration of the characters is quite stiff, especially Moore walking around lost. Names like Whitford don't seem to want to be here and when I see Stormare show up somewhere these days I know the quality of the film isn't going to be too high. A huge shame for such a talented actor.

What remains is a film stripped of any atmosphere and tension. Completely poorly mounted further. Extremely sentimental scenes are suddenly cut away and the sidelines of all characters are constantly predictable and messily mixed up. Mason introduces way too many people without making them even slightly interesting in any way. There is so much jumbled that Songbird as a whole is almost unwatchable.

As soon as the movie was over, I was amazed to find out that there wasn't a moment of excitement anywhere. So many storylines end up with a premise that is nowhere worthwhile. Hardly anything is done with the concept of COVID-23, which means that there is no real threat. We fly through everyone at lightning speed without anything being remembered. I hope I don't come across this kind of quickly baked junk anymore.
