Oops, this was a really bad movie. We first watch the children (sisters) of a family play for half an hour and go to the beach, then a child drowns (for a long time it is not clear who), then the sisters are suddenly old and they have a fierce argument and are having a in the end they are so old that they die which seems to bring some atonement (symbolized by a board that falls when they are old and is finally glued). The only charm of the film is that it may evoke a nostalgia for the summer days of your own childhood, as the sisters can't let go of that time, but nothing interesting happens and nothing interesting is said. A boring and meaningless affair.

Four sisters gather in the house where they lived as children because one of them has an important message. The return to the parental home brings back many memories, especially with regard to their youngest sister who died at a young age. The scenes from childhood are vivid, cheerful and dynamically filmed. While there is nothing to criticize about the cast, the part with the adult sisters (which takes up most of the film) is a bit heavy-handed and ultimately melodramatic itself. Although the death of the youngest sister is a key element in the story, Dante waits until the very last moment to reveal exactly what happened. And it's quite an anti-climax.

Another movie from the library and this time in Italian. The film actually consists of 3 parts, but the first part was the most interesting. There was much less to experience in the other two parts. The cast did not do a bad job and the film looked summery, especially the first part. It's one of those movies that's good for once, but then you've seen it.
