La Verónica plot
As the wife of a famous football player, Verónica has a bittersweet life: lying by the pool, attending photo shoots, conducting interviews for a book about herself, but above all taking care of her Instagram account. Director Leonardo Medel apparently thought it was a good idea to place the title character in the middle of the screen for over an hour and a half, so that she can look straight into the camera while she tells her story. I think it's a silly idea, because the result looks like an elongated selfie. An extremely boring film that seems to go on forever without anything noteworthy happening.
