Petite Fille plot
"When I grow up, I want to be a girl." Sasha's parents look surprised when they hear those words from their child's mouth. Sasha is three years old and was born in a boy's body. So it's hard to take that desire seriously, but Sasha keeps repeating it. When she turns four, her mother Karine tells her that such a thing is impossible, which has a devastating effect on the toddler. There is nothing Karine regrets more in her life than that oversimplified reaction. But both she and Sasha's father soon turn their backs. They study gender dysphoria in order to act in the best interests of their child. That turns out to be far from easy.
