"The most exciting family film of this winter!"
When the Vos family arrives at the Efteling for an annual weekend together, eleven-year-old Teun discovers that his recently deceased grandfather, whom he misses very much, has left him one last puzzle tour. Although most adults think this is nonsense, Teun goes on an expedition through the amusement park with his special aunt Ada to find out exactly what his grandfather has hidden for him. However, they are bothered by a mysterious figure.

No, this one wasn't really entertaining for the kids either. Simple story, little humor. I got the feeling the film was trying to look very low-budget.

About 35 years after Clown Flappie, the Vos family lets themselves be hitched to the Efteling's promotional wagon. The recent death of Grandpa Berend [Peter Faber] casts a shadow over the traditional family trip to Efteling. Grandson Teun [Levi Otto] finds a bright spot in the darkness when he discovers that his grandpa has managed to organize his traditional treasure hunt after all. Only Grandma Ada [Raymonde de Kuyper] is willing to help Teun with his search for the family's missing fairytale book. This clumsily written and acted film for the little ones is a shameless promo for the country's largest amusement park. Even Clown Flappie would say: “Shall I do it? Or shall I not do it? No, I won't do it!” Sequel: The Legend of the Vos Family.
