"One nation under the influence"
In the not so distant future, alcohol and drugs will be completely banned by the government. It may only be used one night a year. High school students Griffin, Hags and Andrew are on their way to the best party in town and think their dreams will come true. However, during their journey, they face various obstacles, including a crazy school principal and wild animals roaming the streets.

Still, a somewhat painfully difficult film to watch. You expect a comic Purge parody, but after a nice start with Vince Vaughn, the film drops to a questionable level in which three boys experience uninteresting adventures on their way to a drinking party. The whole concept where you can drink and party for 1 day does not come into its own at all and if you remove this whole concept you actually have a very standard film. Because, of course, this has been done many times before. If the movie is still entertaining then I can see through it. But the characters are not very sympathetic, very clichéd and actually just annoying. The final party with the crazy assignments therefore offers little solace and it is just annoying that all those parties in American films are provided with a kind of competition commentary with 2 presenters who have to chew everything in advance. It makes such a party extremely uncomfortable and not spontaneous.
No, you wonder what the hell guys like Vince Vaughn, but also Morgan Freeman (voice-over) are doing in an uninspiring piece of junk like the Binge.
