Well Film!, you either love it or you don't like it at all. At the time, Paul de Leeuw could at least indulge himself in this occasionally very vulgar Dutch comedy.

The story makes no sense at all and if you look closely it is just a very bad movie. Movie! Is actually a succession of all kinds of short films, which together more or less form the story. Most of the jokes and bits are bad, but it must be said that sometimes there are a few funny bits in between. Paul is also a lot nicer as Bob than as Annie. Annie is especially annoying.

But if you're happy that it's over at the end, that actually says it all.

1,5*

The story is not about anything and is poorly constructed. The jokes are very flat. Normally I think such films are bland, but Paul de Leeuw is pushing the boundaries of what gives this film its strength. The sheer rudeness, exaggeration and silliness makes this film hilarious. At the end, the story continues a bit more and the film collapses a bit. But nice to watch once if you want to have a good laugh.

Extremely coarse and flat, often cringing, but just as often funny and sometimes even moving. I was 11 when this movie came out and have seen it dozens of times since. Watched it again yesterday for the first time in at least ten years and still laughed my ass off. So wrong it's right again.
