Khronika Neobyavlennoy Demonstratsii plot

In December 1986, Dinmukhamed Kunaev, an ethnic Kazakh, was fired as Chief Secretary of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan. He was replaced by Russian outsider Gennady Kolbin. In response, many people, especially students, took to the streets to protest. The authorities reacted harshly to this. This documentary shows through interviews with eyewitnesses and politicians how the protests originated and progressed.
