Found quite disappointing actually, really I'm used to better from the Japanese. It was all pretty ordinary to me and very often boring. Normally I start such series/films with a mega positive attitude, I am a huge fan of both the original ju-on films and the remakes. Only the recent Grudge was also a disappointment. This 'series' continues on that elan, all its own, split into episodes of about 25min, then just make this as a movie e. I thought it all came across as quite fake, for example when he hit that phone, that baby. Also in terms of scare effects, it is heavily below the level of the original films. Was looking forward to this mr leaves me disappointed. Regrettably.

Better than the last movie, but that's not saying much. There were a few good moments in it, and for the Japanese themselves this is much easier to follow I suspect. I have great difficulty keeping all names and faces apart as a simple Westerner. And then all that switching in time and also so many characters... Even apart from that, it's not entirely successful. A lot of crying, screaming, killing, but it couldn't really stick with me. A very meager 3* because I'm in a generous mood today.

Indeed time to stop the franchise, the grudge was enjoyable, this is a mess that doesn't care....
