Mari plot
Charlotte is rehearsing with her dance company when she hears the news that her grandmother Mari is dying. She moves to Dorset, where she stands by her grandmother with her sister and mother. In the meantime, she also discovers that she is pregnant. As she tries to settle this, tensions within the family rise.

Charlotte [Bobbi Jene Smith] has completely given over to her passion for dancing. She has to interrupt rehearsals for an important performance when it turns out that her grandmother Mari [Paddy Glynn] will not live much longer due to a serious illness. This means that she spends a lot of time with her mother [Phoebe Nicholls] and her sister, with whom the relationship has cooled considerably because, in their view, Charlotte does not pay enough attention to her family. Mari's deathbed forces her daughter and granddaughters to express pent-up feelings.
