"The Devil's Mark"
Professor Cecilia brings home a strange book. Her two daughters, Camila and Fernanda, open the ancient book. This releases demons and puts Camila's life in danger. Tomás, a priest with a heroin addiction, tries to help her. He gets help from Karl, an exorcist who was possessed as a child.

So my hunch was right: an extremely weak 'horror movie' that fails to captivate anywhere, and sad that Netflix put its wings under this; it's really no advertisement, in fact, it's bad. This is the kind of movie where you think, WHY make this?!

Cohen's previous films weren't bad either, but apparently still a bit of an acquired taste. Although, to be honest, I don't immediately know why, because in my opinion he is a solid but not particularly remarkable director. This film is also nice filler, but not really much more.
In terms of concept, it looks like a fairly standard possession movie, although a few fantastic elements have been added that give the film just a bit more of its own. Not that it becomes super original immediately, but it deviates enough from the classic paths not to be just another watered-down version.
A few fun gory scenes (but nothing overdone), visuals are pretty okay, the short running time, and solid actors make this an entertaining movie that is very easy to watch. Recommended for horror lovers looking for pleasant filler with limited originality. Cohen won't become a major personal favorite, but if he keeps this level up, he can direct a lot more movies.
