Paul Hogan is about to be knighted for his services as a comedian. He tells his manager not to do anything to confuse this. He is thrown back into the limelight and tries to repair his damaged reputation. However, despite all his efforts, his name and reputation will be completely destroyed in the coming weeks.

Crocodile Dundee in the retirement home. Just as exciting as the conversations in the conversation room, or an afternoon of bingo. Little remains of the original - and perhaps its charm came in no small measure from the person and character of Linda Kozlowski. Hogan has been divorced since 2014 after 24 years of marriage, by the way. Still a pity.
It has not become entirely clear to me what Hogan intended to achieve with this film. Perhaps no more than a sign of life. Well, it did, albeit only marginally.

Tasteless snack. A whole series of familiar faces pass by, but the story is uninteresting, much too good and the humor is bland and often not funny. Paul Hogan plays a weak role of himself, a boring old guy, it was painful to watch. Small plus points to the film are John Cleese and Chevy Chase who bring in a little bit of humor, but that's about all. No success this picture.

Almost 20 years after he last played Crocodile Dundee, Paul Hogan is tired of only being considered for roles that are a variation on that. But then there is good news: The British Royal Family announces that Paul will be knighted. Paul's manager [Rachael Carpani] sees the associated publicity as an excellent opportunity to revive her client's career, but through a series of unfortunate incidents and misunderstandings, Paul manages to dominate the news in a way. Hogan has lost little of his charisma and that is why this old star vehicle (with fun roles for John Cleese, Chevy Chase and Olivia Newton-John) is reasonably enjoyable despite the superficial screenplay.
