"Can love overcome the past?"

Tessa and Hardin had a tumultuous start to their relationship. Tessa knows Hardin can be cruel, but when a revelation is revealed about the origins of their relationship - and Hardin's mysterious past - Tessa is taken aback. Hardin will always be Hardin. But is he really the profoundly thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry looks - or has he been a stranger the whole time? She wished she could walk away. It's just not that simple. Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest of his life. An argument cannot be avoided. But can he still change?

It took a few years but after a long absence I was able to give it a 1* again. With wafer-thin characters and a non-existent story the film quickly got a 1.5*, but that silly ending (cliffhanger?) drags it over the threshold. I assume that 'After We Collided' was the first film experience for the top voters, I can't think of a better explanation. Terrible.

Now After (2019) wasn't a high flyer, but this sequel is even more disastrous....

The opening scene that makes you think what is this and then suddenly turns out to be the cliffhanger for a sequel.

Dramatically bad dialogues, even when they're arguing, no one will get an Oscar for this acting and certain scenes that are suddenly pasted in (or so it seems) and that are not returned to at all later. Also the feeling that scenes have been cut out, because certain transitions in this film are very strange. Not a smooth whole in any case.

Just like with the first after, I have to say that I can really appreciate films in this genre, but this second part is actually even worse than the first.

Well what can I say... the movie was worse than the previous movie

The beginning was already very vague, I had the strong feeling that the film series was written by a menstruating 16 year old girl with boyfriend issues.

Acting was extremely cringe during some scenes I felt like I was watching a bad porn movie

It wasn't worth 2 stars more
