Amelia Hughes, an app developer who doesn't believe in the magic of Christmas, returns to her hometown of Christmas Creek for the holidays to rediscover the magic of Christmas. Once in town, she is reunited with Mike, her former best friend, and her estranged Uncle Harry, who has broken the family after an event over Christmas. As Amelia joins the festivities, she begins to fall for Mike more and more, and she also rediscovers the magic of Christmas. She even looks forward to Harry's Christmas tradition of bringing toys to sick children on his plane.
