"The truth can be deceiving."
After her mother's death, Abby returns to the family home in Niagara Falls, where she reunites with her sister Laure. There they must deal with the legacy, including the family motel their mother ran. Since her return, Abby develops an obsession with a childhood memory of witnessing a kidnapping. The case suddenly won't let her go and she goes to investigate.
