A rather flat film about a faltering romantic relationship between a young woman and a young man who carries a secret from his past. The 90s story isn't very new. Better films have been made about couples who regularly break up only to see each other again years later. The main problem is that the story is rather dull and has little new to offer. The acting and the film's production design are well done, which is why it still gets a passing grade. Just barely.

A nice, fresh movie in the first hour, with constant significant time jumps and glimpses of the girl and the boy's interactions over the years. We've seen this kind of film before, but the pace is brisk, the individual scenes are okay, the atmosphere is fine, it feels pleasantly nostalgic at times, and there's a nice girl in the lead role. The boy, however, is less engaging, and I saw very little chemistry between the two. After that, the film stalls. Almost literally, too, because from the second hour onwards, they stay stuck in the same time period for a very long time and focus much more on drama; however, the boy and the chemistry with the girl aren't strong enough for that, and my attention gradually drifted. Then nothing special or fun happens in the film, and it remains a flat and lackluster whole. Still, 3.0*.
