Being verbally abused, spat at or even severely mistreated because of your sexuality. It is of all times and in 2019 LGBTI people in the Netherlands are also confronted with it. Many Dutch people say they have no problem with homosexuality, yet more than seven in ten LGBTI people experience physical or verbal abuse in their lives. Ellie Lust talks to victims and speaks the 'wrong side': those who are guilty of homosexual discrimination. She also speaks with experts who try to explain why some people turn to discrimination and violence against LGBTI people.
