Lost for Words…
Wat een geweldige film was dit. Heb mij geen moment verveeld. Naast Tom Cruise vond ik Miles Teller echt geweldig acteren. De overige acteurs ook, maar vond deze 2 er echt uitspringen. Heb de eerste TOP GUN in 1886 nog niet gezien, maar dat ga ik zeker doen na deze film gezien te hebben. Wellicht was het beter om het andersom te kijken, maar je krijgt wat informatie over de TOP GUN film uit 1986 waardoor het niet stoorde deze film eerst te kijken.
De scenes waar er gevlogen word met de Boeing F/A 18F Super Hornet is prachtig in beeld gebracht. Heb gelezen dat er weinig tot niks CGI is gefilmd om het zo realistisch mogelijk te maken. Nou dat is gelukt! Durf te zeggen dat dit waarschijnlijk de beste film van 2022 word.
Uiteindelijk is het verhaal makkelijk en simpel om te volgen. Dit is naar mijn mening totaal niet storend omdat je dan ook volledig kan focussen op de mooie beelden die er gefilmd zijn. Doe het niet vaak maar dit is voor mij een 5* review en ga in de toekomst deze film 100% nog een keer kijken.

A sequel that actually does everything right and contains almost no false note. In short; a rarity. An irresistible mix of sentiment, comedy and action, with Cruise once again perfectly in the lead. The cast around him is also fine, with a lot of old (and of course new) faces. Visually, director Joseph Kosinski pulls out all the stops to make something beautiful and Hans Zimmer's bombastic soundtrack fits like a tailor-made suit.
