A shepherd is found murdered in the middle of the alpine meadows. The entire village soon becomes suspicious of the man's old teacher, who years ago caused her career to go up in smoke after uncovering an amorous relationship between the woman and his underage cousin. However, a newly assembled research duo soon discovers other possible motives for this crime.
