Vals Spel plot

The downfall of a white-collar criminal in the Netherlands, with an enormous passion for horses. His internationally successful Olympic Jumping stable is in danger of going under. The hunt for top show jumper London, winner of 2 silver medals at the Games in 2014, opens. Top rider Schröder must continue to perform under high pressure and patiently watch as the owner wages a bitter battle against the banks to stay afloat. Can he keep his top horse?

Journalist and former television presenter delved into the world of Dutch show jumping for the short documentary "Golden Genes" (2017). Here, she follows the legal troubles of stable owner and real estate magnate Ger Senior Visser. With his company Eurocommerce as a sponsor, Gerco Schröder won two silver medals with the horse "London" at the 2012 Olympic Games. Now, the future of the family, the stables, the horses, and Gerco Schröder himself is at stake due to accounting fraud, in which the horses were used as pawns. Seemingly made for peanuts, but Van Trigt's persistence and decisiveness ensure that the flawed form never compromises the substance.
