Wo Ist Mein Schatz? plot
A man is fed up with the nagging of his mother-in-law, who lives with him and his wife. When he comes home drunk one night, his mother-in-law kicks him out of the house. To return, he disguises himself as a servant. As a result, he is offered a job in his own house.

Ernst Kubitsch has had a great career with countless silent and spoken films. This is one of his first productions before he moved to the United States. Typical are the bright sepia colors in yellow (predominant), green and white.
This is kind of a precursor to Mrs. Doubtfire. Not with children here, but with a man who was thrown at the door by his live-in mother-in-law after a night of drinking. He doesn't think it would be better to disguise himself in order to get back home as a servant - after all, there was a vacancy. In the meantime, he has to watch his belongings being removed one by one.
It's all comical, but it's not really funny. It starts with the disguise, which is actually just a wig. Furthermore, the punch line is also very lame and there is no resistance from the woman. Mediocre, but quite enjoyable as a silent film, because it can already blow out 108 candles.
