"They're listening."

A family struggles to survive in a world ravaged by dangerous, ancient creatures. These have reproduced in the subterranean darkness and hunt their prey by means of their hearing. A really light version of AQP, no matter how trite the comparison. The tension is rarely present and the fact is even laughable. It's strange to see that there are all kinds of emergency broadcasts telling you to be quiet, yet there are all kinds of blaring sirens everywhere. Not useful as an emergency service. And that feeling really permeated throughout the film. Just not convenient. It's a shame that the makers couldn't really choose between the creatures as the biggest threat, or the humans. And yet bizarre that people have completely lost track so quickly.

The post apocalyptic aspect was well reflected and I can always appreciate such a road trip, but otherwise it is just too much middle of the road.

2.5 * not a heavy seat, but it doesn't stick much either

The silence has become a weaker decoction of the aforementioned films A quiet place and also Bird box. I also saw a needless piece of Peele's “Us” in it. The premise is fine anyway, it's just a shame that such films have been released recently. But nevertheless quite limited and insufficiently developed without inspiration.

I would have liked to watch it anyway, but top cinema is not in the least. Making a film about silence within the thriller or horror genre is extremely difficult because not everything can be right. In this The silence the line of the acceptable is nevertheless crossed. People are not sufficiently consistent with their silences or alarms for the vesps. Sometimes they are super sensitive to sound and a little later that becomes fiercely nuanced and vice versa. That rattlesnake is a good example of that.

I also saw too little panic or mass hysteria. The TV images really did not add to the seriousness of the situation. With its 90 minutes, the film is quite short, partly due to the fast ending that is future-oriented and is quite open. The film's biggest turn-off was the strange pastor. It had nothing to do with the story and was extremely annoying. A film with the necessary potential, but too little developed. Unfortunately.

Not high expectations, but I was able to enjoy myself. The acting is good in my opinion. Unfortunately, the story is a bit thin and the ending is rushed. The latter is not so bad, because the film was long enough.
