Bolden plot
"Where the music began"
Early 1900's in New Orleans. Buddy Bolden is the unknown American hero who invented Jazz. Little biographical information is known and no recordings of his music were found. The film's story therefore consists of fragmented memories of his past, set against the political and social context in which his revolutionary music was conceived.
