Maria Theresia plot

At the court of the Holy Roman Empire, hopes for a male heir to the throne are gradually fading. Although Maria Theresa, the eldest daughter of King Charles VI, may also take a seat on the throne after a special edict, the king stubbornly hopes that his wife will still give him a son. Almost five years after their marriage, Maria Theresia and François now have two daughters, and a third offspring is on the way. Their lives change completely when King Charles VI dies after a freak hunting accident, and the couple has to return to Vienna in a hurry.
