Gyeo-wul-ba-me plot
Back in the taxi – after a visit to the famous Buddhist temple of Cheongpyeongsa in the South Korean town of Chuncheon, where a couple also visited thirty years ago at the beginning of their relationship – a middle-aged woman discovers that she has lost her cell phone is. Reluctantly, her husband has the taxi driver turn around. What follows is a long, frigid, alcohol-soaked night, in which the two – both separately and together – have a number of cathartic, confrontational and disenchanting encounters between frozen waterfalls and neon-lit snowscapes.
