The Professor plot
Richard is a professor who finds himself struggling with life after being diagnosed with something that turns his life upside down. He decides to put everything aside and to spend his life so brutal and carefree. With a distinct sense of humor and a reckless demeanor, he tackles everything he hasn't done before, including drinking, smoking, sex and indiscriminately berating passers-by who irritate him. It will give him more pleasure than he's had in years.

Went to the sneak preview in the cinecitta together with Pomodorini. We didn't know what it was going to be and we were hoping for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or Midsommar. It was clear from the opening that it was neither. Still, the movie was worth it. Depp plays his part excellently. Funny scenes alternate with serious scenes. The short running time is good for the film and the ending is nice too. You really get sympathy and pity for Mr. Richard through Depp's great acting.

I've never been a big fan of Johnny Depp. I must say, however, that in this film he comes out very well. In any case, it is a beautiful film, in which the relationships between the professor and his wife, resp. his daughter are subtly elaborated. Quite a sad and moving story without derailing.
