The sequel to Halloween Jack, which was also taken in hand by director Andrew Jones, was considerably more entertaining, but this opening chapter, on the other hand, has to rely too much on endless chatter and uninteresting dialogues. The layout looks cheap and the threat only appears on screen for 5 minutes, a disadvantage that could have been compensated with a good story. Unfortunately, this is not the case within the world of The Legend of Halloween Jack and as a viewer you will have to be able to muster considerable patience before the killing starts. Every now and then there is a nice atmosphere and there are decent scary moments, but all in all it is a film that you can easily skip.
