Hevi Reissu plot
"Better s* thighs than eternal constipation."
Turo is trapped in a small town in northern Finland. His only bright spot in life is his amateur metal band Impaled Rektum, of which he is the lead singer. When they get an invitation to play at the big metal festival Northern Damnation in Norway, they grab their chance. They steal a van, a body and a coffin, get a drummer from an asylum and drive to Norway.

It's been a while since I laughed so hard, so filthy, and so long at a scene as I did in this movie.
As a Heavy Metal lover with a great love for Scandinavia I obviously could not pass up this film. In addition, it is also a comedy something I have not been able to remember since Airheads (1994). Heavy Metal and humor what more could I want!
In my experience, this film does a lot of things right. The exceptionally sympathetic lead actor is both tough and endearing at the same time, but the rest of the characters are also special to say the least. The dry, typical Finnish humor is constantly on top of things, but fortunately the bitter seriousness is never lost sight of. This is best expressed in the beautiful tribute to the deceased in 2010 Ronnie James Dio - MusicMeter.nl. This lets you, as a fan, know that the makers made this film with the best intentions.
Towards the end, the Spinal Tap-like scenes start to go a bit too far, but that only underlines the self-mockery and sympathetic nature of the film. Fortunately, the film never degenerates into a caricature and humanity remains the strongest point of the film. That is precisely why I like it so much. Because the attitude is particularly recognizable for fans.
The only point of criticism is that there could have been less vomiting, but otherwise nothing but praise for this Finnish surprise.

A light film with many humorous elements, a few sad ones too. This non-standard feelgood movie has surprised me very positively. 3.5* for the story, extra 0.5 for the music \^^/.

Nice film about a metal band that wants to perform. Despite the fact that the film does have a story, it is presented somewhat fragmentarily. Here and there quite funny with entertaining, dryly comic characters. The film is not too long, and certainly should not have been longer.
