"Endless darkness. Limitless courage."
The film follows the 12-year captivity of members of the Tupamaros, a guerrilla movement active in the 1960s and 1970s. Nine of them were imprisoned between 1972 and 1985 as hostages from the military regime. The story follows the inhumane imprisonment of three of them. Among them is José Mujica, who later became president of Uruguay.
