The Tokoloshe plot
Busi is a young woman with dangerous, repressed emotions. She is poor and takes a job as a cleaner in a hospital in Johannesburg. Her goal is to earn enough money so that she can send her sister to Johannesburg. One day, Busi finds a young girl in the hospital. She has been abandoned and claims she is being hunted by a supernatural force. Busi tries to save the girl, but it turns out not to be so easy.

Chewed horror thriller with some atmospheric images and a unique creature that really turns things upside down. The elaboration of director Jerome Pikwane is not very original and certainly the scenes in which the young child has to pull the cart testify to unimpressive imagery (that voice really doesn't work), but the dark corners and deserted corridors are quite efficient for a competent atmosphere. The acting, on the other hand, is not great, but the finale comes with excellent imagery and the cinematography looks good despite budgetary restrictions.
