"’87 was heaven…"
It's the summer of 1987 and Italian-American Gio Fortunato has little on his mind other than racing cars and chasing girls. During the day he works as a car dealer but every night Gio comes alive on Francis Lewis Boulevard, the cruise strip where all the local youth flock in search of good times. Gio, the king of the boulevard, thinks he's got it all together until one fateful night when he comes into contact with Jessica Weinberg, a nice Jewish girl from Long Island. Sparks fly between blonde Gio and the mundane college girl, who embark on an unlikely summer romance that turns Gio's carefree world upside down.
