Boku no Kaeru Basho plot
Burmese couple Issace and Khin exchange their homeland Myanmar in the hope of a safer and better future in Japan. After years of toil, they seem to have created a nice yet modest home, together with their two young sons Htet and Kuang. However, when the Japanese immigration officers get wind of Issace's black-paid jobs, tension mounts and Khin decides to return to Myanmar with the two children, while Issace continues to apply for asylum.
