Smoking/No Smoking plot
The diptych Smoking/No Smoking is based on the plays by Alan Ayckbourn and is a tour de force by the actors Sabine Azéma and Pierre Arditi, who play five and four roles respectively. The films Smoking and No Smoking are two versions of the same story, in Smoking a woman finds a pack of cigarettes from which she lights one. In Non Smoking a woman sees a pack of cigarettes, has doubts, but resists the temptation. Set in a picturesque village in the British county of Yorkshire, a story in which various characters struggle with themselves and the world...
