Ghosts of War plot
"You can't hide from yourself."
During one of the darkest days of World War II, five American soldiers are ordered to keep a French castle previously occupied by Nazi commanders in chief. Their assignment begins to take strange forms as the group begins to experience unexplained events. Slowly, their reality turns into a deranged nightmare that is more terrifying than anything that goes on on the battlefield.

Moderate combination of war and horror. The story is nice, but a bit too far-fetched and therefore too much of a good thing. The beginning is okay, but then there is a repetition of moves and the film focuses too much on jump scares. Sometimes exciting but often predictable. The ending is almost laughable, what a false twist. The acting is still okay. Visually the film can survive. 2.5/3.0

Horror with many familiar elements that we have seen before, but I quite liked the film
passed. With a beginning in which the soldiers prove themselves quite blunt and rough during the elimination
from some Germans. Once in the castle atmosphere, the film has noticeably faded
and pale use of color and also exudes a low-budget level, but which I actually liked.
With several cool scenes and scary moments. The spookiness is also intriguing
you soon realize that, as is often the case with horror films, it is about an unsavory past and ghosts
want to take their revenge or invite salvation. Well-dose horror without gore
more and more with mystery. The mystery that is gradually unraveled and what happens at the end
of the film comes to a surprising, well-found and well-executed denouement. Well
I thought the acting was mediocre, typical of a low-budget film.

An unusual combination of horror with a war (setting). But all in all it was a success. What comes down to the traditional house being possessed by some ghosts, turns out somewhat differently than expected. And what I finally understood - I didn't have that item completely - is that the derailed minds were not anticipated after all and were explained as some kind of bug. Quite vague, but apart from that I could benefit from combating trauma through cognitive therapy.
Apart from that, visually not bad done with the setting and the atmosphere in the house. For example, I really liked the scenes with the bathtub, but they were also scary. Also the fact that they didn't just disappear and walk around in circles created a creepy atmosphere. Quite compelling. Not very high quality and not everything was equally successful, but certainly solid for a horror film. There was a certain idea behind the film - regardless of whether you liked it or not - and I certainly want to reward that. It could have been done much easier.
