Peterloo plot
Peterloo tells the true story of the infamous English massacre that took place on August 16, 1819. During a demonstration, Henry Hunt addresses 60,000 people at St. Peter's Field in Manchester. The group tries to reform voting rights, but the peaceful protest turns into tragedy when an officer tries to arrest one of the leaders. Fifteen people are killed and about 700 are injured at the hands of an armed militia.
