A Hentes, a Kurva és a Félszemü plot
It is 1925. Gusztáv Léderer, a gendarme who has been dishonorably discharged for shady dealings, confronts Ferenc Kudelka with an outstanding debt. The latter, the owner of the largest slaughterhouse in Budapest, laughs off the request, but does give the one-eyed Léderer a job. Not because of Léderer, but because of his wife Mária Fekete, a former prostitute. Kudelka makes no effort to hide his interest in her and is even willing to throw a lot of money at it to sleep with her. Despite the initial refusal, the couple smells a way to get money quickly.
