"She wants the life you give"
A heavily pregnant mother, Rachel, and her husband Matt, have a car accident in the countryside. They are taken care of by a farmer and his wife who offer them shelter. Rachel soon finds out that their children have in fact been stolen. Just as they try to escape from the farm, Rachel goes into labor.

Curious. I don't understand how this film gets so much appreciation on other websites. Actor/director Scott Vickers delivered a first-class piece of work for $45,000. A film that doesn't fascinate for a moment except the beautiful surroundings. Predictable plots and even plagiarism (a bit of necrophilia). Scott can't act let alone direct. A waste of all time and effort. I feel sorry for the cast who worked on this. A lost evening for every viewer. Much ado about nothing. Quickly forgotten. In short: weighed and found wanting

Top UK production. Beautifully filmed and excellent acting. I don't understand the low reviews here. The UK has been making more of these kinds of great films lately, The Holding and Salvage for example. Matriarch is a
true nail-biter. more thriller than horror. and in fact I often find thrillers more fascinating because of the repetition factor of horror.
