1977. Sephi Milch is a determined and talented young woman who aspires to a career as a classical composer. However, she is aware that the odds are against her. She also struggles on a personal level when she comes across a revelation from the past that threatens to tear her family apart. Her older sister and rival Nana, a tabloid journalist and aspiring playwright, senses an opportunity through this revelation to break free from the stranglehold of her parents' past.
