Yes, finally another surprising film that constantly puts you on the wrong track! Still different than usual. I'm used to something, after having about 200 DVDs in this genre on my shelf.... I don't understand everyone's negative comments here; I don't share this. Okay, the storyline is very standard, but the atmosphere was good from the start. Very oppressive.

The story is so well developed; In the end all the pieces of the puzzle fall together and it turns out to be a logical story. But I did not immediately realize that it was a father-daughter, because father said so credibly that it was an accident, which caused him to sustain facial injuries. I kept wondering what really happened. The film held me in its grip for the entire time.

I initially thought it was a supernatural thriller/horror, but that was not the case.

The gore, which everyone always talks about in horror, does not make it a real horror. The real horror is the subcutaneous tension you feel. The ignorance that makes you fearful... And that made this film quite strong.

But yes, tastes differ, I am aware of that.

Nevertheless, this film stands head and shoulders above all other clichéd 'cheat films' that I have seen. The fact that it still concerns me says enough, I think...

Fine.

Clinical makes few mistakes and that is actually an achievement within the genre. Psychologists in particular often come across as actors in a white coat and a skeptical look; I thought the shrinks and sessions here still seemed quite professional.

However, the story and twists remain within safe lines, so the film never really makes a memorable impression. The shaky sense of reality then follows well-trodden paths, the tension was usually reasonable.

What I liked best was that after the opening scene you actually expect that Nora is dead, but that the news that she is still alivelater suddenly sheds a different light on the delusions. The film plays nicely with this, but perhaps also goes on a bit too long.

Perhaps a bit too predictable and not very innovative overall, but with a solid atmosphere and a nice bloody touch, I found this more than entertaining. 3*

Clinical" is a psychological thriller that unfortunately does not quite live up to expectations. Although the film has an interesting concept, it gets off to a slow start, making it difficult to get through the first half. Personally, I even had to take a break to to take a nap before I could finish the movie out of curiosity about the ending.

Although some reviewers here found the plot twist predictable, I personally did not expect where the story went. This aspect added at least a degree of surprise to the viewing experience.

If the film had a nice ending, it wouldn't have been a bad film. Unfortunately, the ending couldn't save the film. It felt too rushed. Personally, I was hoping for a more satisfying conclusion where the villain would terrifyingly get up from the couch and chase after her with his face torn up and the protagonist would be saved in the nick of time. I also would have liked to see how the main character's life unfolded after the events, including her release from the charges, apology from the clinic, and her recovery process. I also thought it was sad that Nora didn't get a happy ending and that she committed suicide. The film could have a nice ending if we got to see that despite everything, Dr. Jane Mathis continued her work to help Nora live as normal a life as possible.

All in all, Clinical isn't a great movie, but it can be an acceptable choice for a boring afternoon.
I would almost give 1 star, but I'll add another star for the acting and camera work and a little bit of tension.
